The Proposal
for a naturist beach in the Tampa Bay area:
That a section of beach in the Tampa Bay area be designated or
posted as a clothing-optional, family-oriented beach, as has
already been done at Haulover Beach (Miami-Dade) and Apollo
Beach (Canaveral National Seashore) in Florida, and at numerous
beaches in North America and around the world.
TAN BeachQuest 2008:
After difficulties lobbying for the original proposed site at
Ft. DeSoto Park, TAN has now begun reviewing a number of other
possible clothing-optional beach locations in the Tampa Bay
area, with the intent of selecting and lobbying for a viable
location in 2008.
If you support our efforts to obtain a clothing optional beach
in the Tampa Bay area, we highly encourage you to please print,
sign and send in the Petition below. Even better, if you can,
write a petition/letter in your own words based on our from.
The only way we can succeed in obtaining a clothing optional
beach is by showing tourism interests and government officials
that the beach is wanted by both residents in the area and by
tourist visitors that will be drawn to the area. |

While TAN is now in the process of evaluating alternate locations,
much of its original proposal for Ft. DeSoto Park would still be
relevant to another location.
